WATER CONSUMPTION

First and foremost, the fashion industry places an enormous strain on our planet's resources. The production of textiles, especially thirsty crops like cotton, requires vast amounts of water. In fact, it takes 712  gallons of water to produce a single cotton T-shirt. Add in the energy-intensive processes of dyeing, finishing, and transporting these textiles, and you have a colossal carbon footprint.
