Then there's the issue of textile waste. Mountains of discarded clothing end up in landfills, where they slowly decompose, releasing greenhouse gasses like methane into the atmosphere. Even when clothes are donated, recycled, or repurposed, the sheer volume of clothing being discarded means that we're barely scratching the surface of the problem.
